The majority of my entries are friends only. If you'd like the juicy and sometimes boring scoop on the life of a debut author, please leave a comment to be added or send me a PM. You don't need to tell me your life story, but at least give me some idea who you are :)
Feel free to subscribe to my public blog. It includes author interviews, writing tips, and the occasional character survey.

I've offered a three chapter critique for Cynthea Liu's Peter Pan Takes the Dare auction. It's for a great cause! The funds will benefit the kids at Tulakes Elementary in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Read about the Dare.
A kind soul WOW'ed my book today. So cool! http://readingkeepsyousane.blogspot.c om/
So I'm in the midst of copy edits for HARMONIC FEEDBACK, and I'm looking for some great websites on AS info to put in my author's note. Anyway, I thought I'd share one of MY favorite sites--one that involves REAL people, not just a bunch of clinical mumbo jumbo. Wrong Planet is a site created by a guy named Alex Plank who has Asperger's Syndrome. He actually started this thing in high school--impressive! It's a community for people on the autistic spectrum, people with ADHD (like me, wee) and loved ones/friends of us non-NT folk.
Anyway, I love the discussion forums--there's a wealth of information there and a wide variety of members. Many of the members have been 'officially diagnosed', while others suspect they might have AS or autism. But, really, it's a great place for ANYONE who has or has had social difficulties.
I also found a couple great videos of a lecture Alex Plank did with his girlfriend (who also has AS), talking to parents about their experiences. They are both so charming and funny and GREAT speakers--traits those on the spectrum are not 'supposed' to possess (yeah, right). Like my MC Drea, they represent the milder end of the spectrum, but both of them overcame difficulties to be the successful people they are now.
Enjoy!

Okay, so I still don't understand the appeal of twitter. But I've caved into all the peer pressure and signed up *sigh*. I'm always game to have my mind changed :) I even made my own perty background for it.

Like I said, I'm doing some trimming of the f-list. I only removed those who I don't have communication with anymore and didn't respond to my earlier post. The other case would be that I don't know you at all or you rarely post. But it really wasn't personal other than that. If you did get removed and still want to be LJ buds, let me know!
